With the medicine technology advances, it is possible to create a patient profile by a full genomic data along with vast amount of patient data from personal fitness devices, medical record, etc. Translational medicine is aim at moving faster from research to patient care by integrating the data across traditional silos which requires a cloud to support multi-tenancy, self-service, big data analysis and HPC workload. OpenStack are good at virtual machine management, while we use VM to serve as a container host which brings virtualization overhead in overlay networking, I/O operations, etc. and it won’t get benefit from some advanced features. In this session, we'll share:
•    How to build an OpenStack cloud for HPC with multi-tenancy and self-services;
•    How to build a bare metal kubernetes cluster with OpenStack Magnum and Ironic;
•    The issues we are facing and how we overcome them;
•    The gaps remaining and what does the community need to improve in the future;
•    More thinking and new ideas.

The Datacenters of the future are hyper scale, making the task of deploying and managing them even more challenging. DMTF’s Redfish API, an open standard, in conjunction with pooled disaggregated resources seeks to allow dynamic composition and remote management and monitoring to provide flexibility, increase utilization, and reduce total cost of ownership. The resources span processors, network interface cards, varieties of memory such as non-volatile solid state drives (SSDs), accelerators such as Field Programmable Gate Arrays(FPGAs) and more.
In this talk we introduce the OpenStack Valence project, started six months back, to integrate life cycle management of disaggregated hardware into OpenStack clouds. Valence allows the composition of nodes for use by Ironic and Nova compute, define node flavors, handle floating multiple clouds from a single data center or build a single cloud out of multiple.

In the face of ever-growing data processing requirements, existing data center infrastructures struggle to deliver on flexibility and TCO expectations. Intel Rack Scale Design Technology is to evolve the data center design methodology from physical resource aggregation to resource pools and eventually target for future’s service aware orchestration. Meanwhile, as a ubiquitous cloud OS that able to control/orchestrate large pools of compute, storage and network resources, OpenStack can take advantages of it to deliver more optimized flexibility and performance against cost in areas such as deep learning, big data, telecom, etc.
Valence is a new OpenStack project announced in Barcelona Summit which is a collection of all things about RSD for OpenStack. In this session, we’ll elaborate valence’s mission, user cases and status. And then, we’ll discuss how other projects can leverage RSD by integration with valence. Finally, we'll show some live demos about how valence works right now.

Nowadays many tools to deploy Openstack in Containers are used, some of them are Kolla-kubernetes, Stackenetes etc but which is the best and what should i choose as an Operator or cloud provider?" is a very big question.
As an cloud Operator which can be best container based openStack deployment in the market. Why to choose Kolla-Kubernetes or any other tool? Differences and their brief comparison among all the container based deployment would be covered in talk. Kolla-k8s and Openstack both uses the kubernetes to maintain the life cycle of the deployed services.
If they are using the same or different tool to manage the life cycle they which one is effieciently utilizing the tools this property and upto what extent and for what specific purpose.
All the comparison based talk would be presented.

Kolla provides containers and deployment tools for operating OpenStack clouds. This topic includes a real Kolla case study from the Intel and 99cloud's collaboration to deploy Kolla in a production environment. We would like to show the benefits from Kolla as a container based solution to compare with the traditional way to deploy and run OpenStack services. There are many advantages from Kolla including ease to maintain, immutable environment, and quickly upgrade the version of OpenStack. But we still would like to highlight the pain points we experienced and what the solutions or alternatives we implemented to solve or avoid those issues. In addition to the latest Kolla release, there are many new features release as well as many improvements that not only target for bug fixing but also bring better integration with other OpenStack services. Thru this real case study, you can understand more from Kolla and also know why Kolla can bring the life of dev-ops easier and better.

This talk will cover ETSI VIM Concept first. Currently We have only OpenStack VIM support in TAcker but going ahead if operator wants to extend their VIM in multiple infrastructures then we have to consider adding support to those infrastructure.
We plan to extend VIM support feature should support multiple infrastructure and in this case, we are going to implement  VMware VIM & AWS VIM in Tacker.
We will cover deep dive session into OpenStack VIM, what features OpenStack VIM provides.

本次讲座将首先介绍ETSI VIM 概念,模型和接口。 目前我们在Tacker中只有OpenStack VIM支持,但如果运营商想要在多个基础设施中使用VIM,那么我们必须考虑为这些基础设施添加支持。
